I did a total of 245 runs exactly for the Swift Zulian Tiger, starting from January 8th, 2008 until patch day when it was removed (only missing 4 resets). I am now 450, and today begins my quest for this mount. I do have my Scepter of the Shifting Sands, unfortunately however - I did not complete it in time to get the Black Tank before the alliance on our server hit the gong.Īnyway, I discovered the existence of this mount 3 days ago, and I've spent the last 2 days viciously leveling archaeology. I hope it just has something to do with silithus in general, probably surrounding the removal of the sword.Comment by 642053So as soon as I found out about this mount, I started leveling archaeology. as call of the scarab is in January and that means waiting the rest of the year just to get one possibly. As an avid mount collector I wish these were perm. I would say this means they are available only during the Call of the Scarab, sadly. "Once the Call of the Scarab ends the qiraji will return to their burrows." Maybe if for example the alliance wins, so they could use the new blue mount? and vice versa of course, might be interesting Comment by sztruksik1 on T05:52:34-06:00 Same as people saying to not make motorcycle mounts anymore if u missed out on the warlords deathwheel and no more tiger mouts if u missed out on the spectral tiger.

You can keep your low res mount, let us keep our new high res mount, these are new mounts not those old ones. Seeing someone with a black scarab mount these days is an exceptional thing and it would suck to take that away from those people and their guilds that put in the effort back then.

Could these be temporary mounts only used for the duration of the event? Or with the changes happening to Silithus in 7.3.5, could Call of the Scarab be converted into a permanent holiday, leading to these mounts as permanent rewards? There's certainly a lot of content related to AQ and the scepter questline which could serve as inspiration for a full-fledged holiday.Ĭheck out our Call of the Scarab Guide from last year and a look at the Ahn'Qiraj Loot - there's tons of distinctive gear/weapon models, so it would make for a great Timewalking event. Historically micro-holidays do not have permanent rewards.
