I am now 450, and today begins my quest for this mount. As an avid mount collector I wish these were perm. I would say this means they are available only during the Call of the Scarab, sadly. You can keep your low res mount, let us keep our new high res mount, these are new mounts not those old ones. Seeing someone with a black scarab mount these days is an exceptional thing and it would suck to take that away from those people and their guilds that put in the effort back then.
Could these be temporary mounts only used for the duration of the event? Or with the changes happening to Silithus in 7.3.5, could Call of the Scarab be converted into a permanent holiday, leading to these mounts as permanent rewards? There's certainly a lot of content related to AQ and the scepter questline which could serve as inspiration for a full-fledged holiday.Ĭheck out our Call of the Scarab Guide from last year and a look at the Ahn'Qiraj Loot - there's tons of distinctive gear/weapon models, so it would make for a great Timewalking event.
